History

Lambiotte & Cie started its activities in 1860 with forestry and sawmill, producing railway sleepers. Wood wastes were converted into chemicals and charcoal by an innovative carbonization process. At the beginning of the 20th century, the company manufactured basic chemicals.

In the 1970’s, Lambiotte started producing acetals. Since then, the company developed its acetal portfolio and became the world reference in this field. Today, acetals are the core business of the company.
